Red Rock Canyon Parking Lot Closure

This summer the Red Rock Canyon parking lot will be closed. From what I understand the Park will be running shuttles from the townsite up the Canyon. They are doing extensive renovations to the whole area.

You can drive up to the end, but you just can't park there. I believe there is some handicap parking in the lower lot right by the picnic tables next to the creek.

This could be a good time to do some long traverses of the ridges - Tamarack trail to Carthew Summit or Anderson to Blakiston Horeshoe type affairs.
